In terms of web popularity abroad, SWUFE is ranked 19th out of 112 “Project 211 “Universities as the top of all the institutions of Finance and Economics, according to Project 211 University Web Popularity Abroad Rankings, a report published recently by the Media Effects Research Laboratory, School of Journalism & Communication, Beijing Normal University.

The ranking is based upon an algorithm including dozens of web metrics extracted from four different dimensions: Google news Page Rank, Wikipedia editing frequency rank and Twitter and Facebook Following rank.

The report shows that the official Wikipedia pages of all Project 211 Universities are 100% accessible to users. On the average, the annual edit count is 18 and the number of editors involved amounts to 7. Out of the 112 universities’ Wiki pages, fours have been edited for more than 100 times annually, that is, SWUFE, Peking University, Central China Normal University and Tsinghua University, approximately 3.5% of the whole, while 54.5% of them have been edited for less than 10 times in a year.
