On November 13th, the signing ceremony of SWUFE-CFA partnerships was held in Teng Xiang Building. After a meeting between President Zhang Zongyi, CFA Asia-Pacific Education Chief Mr. Neil Govier and Education Commissioner Ms. Florence Wong, Prof. Yin Shuangqin, Vice President of SWUFE and Mr. Neil Govier signed the agreement, by which cooperation in discipline development, talent cultivation and globalization will be established between SWUFE and CFA. Other attendants included representatives from School of Finance and Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
In the meeting, President Zhang Zongyi detailed on SWUFE’s current situation in talents cultivation, scientific research and international cooperation and hoped that SWUFE and CFA can closely collaborate in more areas. Mr. Neil Govier said that CFA Institute would diversify their cooperation based on SWUFE’s in strength in Finance and Economics.

SWUFE is the first education institution of the mainland of China to be a CFA Program Partner since the re-initiation of the program in 2008. SWUFE also lead the row among all education institution of the mainland of China whose university columns are accredited by CFA Institute. Partnership between SWUFE and CFA will provides students of SWUFE easy access to CFA KProgram textbooks, CFA publication and education resources pooled in CFA Institute, along with more opportunities of internship.
CFA Institute is a global association of investment professionals. The organization offers the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) designation, and the Claritas Investment Certificate. It provides continuing education conferences, seminars, webcasts, and publications to allow members and other participants to stay current on developments in the investment industry. CFA Institute also oversees the CFA Institute Research Challenge for university students and the Research Foundation of CFA Institute.
