11 SWUFE international students participated in DongFang Electric “the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road”
Youth Forum together with students from Southwest Jiaotong University and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China on 9thJanuary, 2016.
In order to let students have a general understanding of Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited（DEC）, staff let students visit the first exhibition hall and the central research institute of science and technology laboratory, watch the promotion video of DEC at half past nine in the morning.
Then the “the Belt and Road” Youth Forum started. The forum was focus on the discussion of the following topics: Why do you come to study in China? in Chengdu? What do you know about DEC; Prospects of renewable energy in your country. What do you know about the ‘Belt & Road’ initiative; Suggestions to DEC’s internalization &localization;
Opinion on foreign-invested power project in your country. A heated debate was carried out among all the students.
This forum provides good opportunities for students’ future career development.
