    SWUFE CIE Held First Winter Camp in 2016

    35 students and teachers from Woosong University attended 2016 SWUFE Winter Camp from Feb 18th, 2016 to Feb 27th, 2016 in Chengdu. They gathered in the city to experience the profound Chinese culture and history in southwestern China.

    Organized by College of International Education at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, this 10-day program provided students with a diverse experience combining education, cultural experience and entertainment. Students completed 32 Chinese language class hours and are awarded with credits that will be transferred back to their home university. Meanwhile, during their staying period in Chengdu, students enjoyed themselves through varied and interesting course arrangement along with cultural activities, such as playing Tai Chi, practicing calligraphy and studying history of Three Kingdoms. To facilitate students’ experience and study in China, SWUFE paired up Korean students with Chinese students so that Korean student all had one-on-one tutoring and assistance with their local tours. At the end of winter camp, Korean students and Chinese students have fostered great friendship with each other.

    Woosong University is an AACSB and IEQAS accredited university in Daejeon, South Korea. It’s the first university that adopts “Four Terms Per Academic Year” system in Korea and ranked as one of the 11th best university by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.     SWUFE-Woosong Winter Camp debuted this year in 2016 and SWUFE looks forward to attracting more overseas youths to participate and advance academic cooperation in the future.
