    SWUFE delegation visited Kazakhstan in July

    In order to further strengthen the collaboration of “the Belt and Road” typical international cooperation project of College of International Education, SWUFE and the Bureau for Continuing Professional Development (BCPD) of Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) of Kazakhstan signed the three-year Memorandum Of Understanding on April 29, 2019. And then SWUFE delegation was invited to attend the 2nd “Astana Finance Days” in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, from July 1st2019 to July 4th2019.

    The purpose of this visit focuses on the joint cultivation of financial talents in the “the Belt and Road” region, including the exchange of faculty members and students, the exchange of education resources and researches, and the professional education programs. On July 2nd2019, Prof. Jingmei ZHAO, Dean of School of Finance, SWUFE and Prof. Qing LI, Vice Dean of School of Economic Information Engineering, SWUFE, delivered a keynote speech at EduTech Forum. In their speech, they shared information and perspectives about the trend of Fintech development in China, as well as the methods and practices of Fintech education at SWUFE. During this visit, SWUFE delegation also had meetings with five Kazakhstani universities, including Nazarbayev University. In these meetings, the delegation and representatives of Kazakhstani universities discussed different possibilities of cooperation, for example, co-research projects, exchange of scholars, exchange of students, etc. Moreover, College of International Education of SWUFE reached an agreement with AIFC on the internship program of SWUFE students. The representative of the College of International Education, Prof. Xin WANG attended the signing ceremony in AIFC.

    As a national Double First-Class university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education, SWIFE devotes to establish international cooperation projects in “the Belt and Road” countries and regions with distinctive financial and economic characteristics and prominent international influence, and furthermore, to play an exemplary role in the collaboration of education in this area.
