On the morning of February 2, Niu Qingbao, the Deputy Mayor of Chengdu Municipal People's Government, came to Guanghua campus to visit international students and inspect the pandemic prevention and control work. Ou Yusong, Department Secretary of the Party Committee of Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office, and Hu Xin, Deputy Director of the Consular Office of Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office, participated in the inspection. SWUFE leaders Zeng Daorong and Li Yongqiang accompanied the inspection.

Entrusted by the SWUFE’s chairman of council Zhao Dewu and President Zhuo Zhi, Zeng Daorong welcomed the arrival of the Deputy Mayor Niu Qingbao and expressed his gratitude to the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for its concern and support for pandemic prevention and control work. He reported the overall situation of pandemic prevention and control work of SWUFE and said that SWUFE attached great importance to the prevention and control of the pandemic, strictly in accordance with the relevant decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the Party Group of the Ministry of Education, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Municipal Party Committee and City Government, and fully implements the first-level response requirements. Southwestern University of Finance and Economics established a leading group for pandemic prevention and control with the secretary of the party committee and the president as the team leader. It held several special meetings to improve the work plan, and established a four-level responsibility system for pandemic prevention and control, and also formed a linkage between the all departments to manage the work situation where responsibilities are in place and preventive measures are effective. In his report, Li Yongqiang said SWUFE adhered to the division and classification management and does a solid job in the management and service of all groups on campus including international students, and earnestly ensures that the situation is clear, the data is accurate and the responsibilities are taken, so as to ensure that the pandemic prevention and control work is carried out step by step.

In the office of SWUFE's pandemic prevention and control work leading group, Niu Qingbaoseriously looked into the work operation of the office, and reviewed the pandemic prevention and control work plan, future plan and related standing book. In the International Student Affairs’ Office, Niu Qingbao found more about the accommodation and daily management of international students. He fully affirmed and highly praised SWUFE's solid and effective measures and rigorous and meticulous style during the pandemic prevention and control period.

Li Yongqiang accompanied Deputy Mayor Niu Qingbao's to visit the international student dormitory. Niu Qingbao had a cordial conversation with the international students on campus. He asked about the study life and self-protection of the international students during the pandemic prevention and control period, and urged everyone to do a good job in daily prevention work, keep close communication with school teachers, pay attention to personal hygiene, maintain a good attitude, and study and live without worries. He praised the positive, optimistic and cooperative attitude shown by students, and called on everyone to unite and win this battle. Leaders from related SWUFE schools and departments accompanied the visit.
